(This is Part 2 of Polizei Racing Team Captain Rene Villeneuve‘s ongoing series about a life spent racing. Read Part 1 here.)
Enter Alex Roy…I thought he was pretty crazy when I first met him, and those of you who know him know I was right to think so. But it didn’t take long for me to discover he had something, and I wasn’t sure even he knew he had it. He was doing a great job promoting his book at the time, but it seemed what he was really promoting was himself. Sure he’s a great personality and a wonderful speaker, not to mention the things he’s done that most people only dream about. The rest of us are trying to prove our self worth through extreme sports and stunts, as nowadays it seems that if you’re willing hurt yourself on TV someone will watch. There’s no other rhyme or reason to it all. It’s just silly.
Here’s one of my favorite shots taken at Laguna Seca…this one showing 144P coming around Turn 11. Click on it (or here) to download the hi hi hi-rez version, or check out our full wallpaper gallery here.

This morning has been filled with uncertainty and unexpected events. Overnight storms and wet weather has been threatening today’s NASCAR race, and many of us are having flashbacks to The Bog. As Kommandant Roy was navigating up River 17…sorry, I mean Route 17 to Watkins Glen, he was flagged off the road by our friends in blue. All of us at Polizei HQ East and West checked under our matresses for bail money when we awoke to this text message from Roy, ‘This cop is curious and not a NASCAR fan.’ Leave it to Roy to find the only Trooper in NY who is NOT a NASCAR fan only miles from the track on raceday!
To our relief Roy is back on the road and ready to rendezvous with Andy Lally and the rest of team TRG at Watkins Glen. The track is drying out and order seems to be restored to the kingdom. Our live race webcast featuring Master Pilot Rene Villeneuve, and the most feared man in Forza 2, John Morley, will be broadcasting soon…

There’s only one thing Polizei Founder Alex Roy & Team Kapitan Rene Villeuneuve heart more than Love 146, Guardian Angel Motorsports and TRG…and that’s racing itself. We’ve gone cross-country, around the world and into Grand-Am, but this week we’re going to take our first step into something even I never thought we would. We’re going to take our first peek into NASCAR. No, Polizei isn’t entering NASCAR, but…
But Polizei friend and ally Andy Lally is. Under TRG’s NASCAR program, Lally – someone Rene and I have long discussed as a potentially fantastic Polizei pilot (if only he could be convinced to wear the uniform) – well, Andy Lally is taking TRG’s NASCAR car around Watkins, which means…
Which means that Rene and I – sports car fans who, shall we say…have never really eaten from the NASCAR buffet – will be deploying Polizei’s traditional(!) coverage to an arena of motorsports unfamiliar with our approach, let alone commentary.
I’ve always wanted to know how NASCAR could possibly grab a sports car/GT driver’s attention, so that’s where Rene & I are going to go, with Lally as our man. Whether Lally can convince us, live – through video, audio and/or any other method we can get functional – in/on a car that is…er…not quite the same as 144P…
We’re going to find out. Don’t go looking for Polizei’s Mobile HQ booth on Sunday’s race day, because we’ll be deploying all assets to follow Lally throughout, so if you want to follow us, you’ll be able to do so online…starting tomorrow, with a lot more info and some even newer surprises. Topic 1? Rene & I debate NASCAR. Topic 2? Lally’s co-pilot. Topic 3? Why do this at all?
And don’t forget to help us help Love 146
More to follow.

Following up on the requests for hi-rez wallpapers of Polizei 144 Racing in action, here’s the second one…another great shot taken during the first test of 144P at Infineon. Click on it (or here) to download the hi-rez version.
We’ve had a lot of requests for hi-rez wallpapers of the very best images taken of Polizei 144 Racing in action. So here’s the first one…a gorgeous shot perfect for your wallpaper. Taken during the first test of 144P at Infineon, it depicts Team Captain Rene Villeneuve pushing as he always does. Click on it (or here) to download the hi hi hi-rez version.

It was an interesting transition into our new team’s first car – the Porsche GT3 Cup soon to be known as 144P. I was excited to be getting some testing time, since it is always hard to show up and get in a car for the first time on the day official practice starts. I’ve been there. And don’t want to do it again.
As I prepared for the first test at Infineon Raceway, I looked at the shoes that I had brought along: standard Sparco race shoes – a few seasons old and well broken in – and two pairs of Piloti’s newest racing shoes, a high top and a mid-cut boot. I had been bugging Piloti President Kevin Beard for these boots ever since he told me they were in testing, and here I was two years later, staring at two brand new pairs in my race bag. It was such a kind gesture for Kevin to have sent them, I knew I owed them a try. I laced them on and began the first of many critical preparatory days prior to Team Polizei’s inaugural Grand Am Race @ Laguna.
