VIDEO: The Battle of Rome. Part 1.

(@ Autoblog’s Zach Bowman: Thanks for the link love.)

The Battle of Rome.
Team Polizei’s finest (and most infamous) hour.
The epic 100+ mile race through Italy at 120+ miles per hour, as described in The Driver.
Polizei M5 144A vs. a Porsche 996 Turbo X50.

Only now, five years after the expiration of the last relevant European legal statutes, we can finally make public the video of our heretofore unseen battle against Spencer Bourne, a legend among both UK Porsche Club racers & the Gumball 3000′s inner circle of veterans. And yes – for them – it was a race.

Those days may be over, but the story of what did occur on the Gumball between 2003 and 2007 has yet to be told.

Until now.

Behold…The Battle of Rome.
Part 1.

A Lifelong Dream Fulfilled: Sa Majesté…My New Vintage Perfect Gorgeous 1973 Citroen SM.

Jalopnik cross-posted my Europe By Car Blog post about my new car before I could do so here, so you’ve got two places to read about and watch the little video Vietze shot and edited about Polizei 144S: a 1973 Citroen SM.  Here’s the Jalopnik post, and here’s mine.

ROAD TESTAMENT: Is BMW The New GM?

The Road Testament moves back into my kitchen to answer a question it pains me – owner of three(!) 2000 E39 M5′s AND a 1987 M6 – to ask…

Is BMW the new GM?

Watch our most popular Road Testament ever to find out.

ROAD TESTAMENT: Alex Roy Talks Over JF Whilst Discussing Best Tuner Engine Transplants

The Road Testament moves outdoors, JF suggests we talk about tuners & best engine transplants, and, as usual, I rant, rave and talk over him without doing enough research.

Next week? We move to the studio, up the production values, and I do some real prep.

But I’m still waiting for someone to invite me to ride a motorized unicycle.

Jalopnik Calls ANOTHER Prius Hoax. Nice One.

Jalopnik is leading the way once again regarding another runaway Prius hoax. These just get in the way of Toyota resolving its real problems. As usual, the media blew it. Where are the talking heads who can see through these idiotic tales before the weeklong investigations?  I saw through these the instant I saw the “victims” explaining themselves.

WALLPAPER #26: 144A In Action. Interior. Fast.

And heeeere’s one of my favorite wallpapers, #26 – courtesy of our friends at 0-60 Magazine – showing 144A’s interior in all its glory.  Click on it to download the hi-rez version, or check out our full wallpaper gallery here.

Jalopnik's Matt Hardigree Cracks The Runaway Prius Story. All Other Media Should Bow Down.

Just read Matt Hardigree’s uniquely insightful coverage for yourself.

I’ve been saying this since February 25th.

Hardigree should get an award for this.

CNN Prius Video Title Contradicts Video = Proof of Media Suckage. But Matt Hardigree of Jalopnik Rocks.

CNN demonstrates its suckage yet again in this video…where CNN’s headline “Controversy rages over ‘Runaway Toyota’ story” totally contradicts their own video content, which clearly shows exactly what JF and I were saying in last week’s Road Testament. Shame on you, CNN. Your coverage of the Toyota Recall story sucks. And continues to.

Jalopnik wins for covering this sham better than anyone. Autoblog gets a close second. Everyone else should pay damages to Toyota.

Matt Hardigree of Jalopnik, U ROCK.

(Video after the jump…)

ROAD TESTAMENT: Alex Roy Calls Runaway Prius Driver Sikes Full of-

The runaway Prius Driver –  some guy by the name of Sykes, as in Jim Sykes – is full of…something.

And the media knows NOTHING about cars.

On this week’s Road Testament.

ROAD TESTAMENT: Alex Roy Thinks Porsche 918 The Most Important Car Since Vietnam War.

The Porsche 918 is the most important car since the Vietnam War.

IMHO.

On this week’s Road Testament.
