“First has a quality all its own,” at least according to Polizei Master Pilot Michael Ross.
Recognize that image? How about the map? Yes, the infamous Gumball ALK CoPilot live GPS track which inspired Polizei 144 uber-kreator Josh Vietze to create our first new shirt design in two years. (Hint: Here’s the back-story.)
In production and weeks away, now you too can pre-order the commemorative Athens-Tirana GeoTrack T-Shirt by clicking through to the Polizei 144 store…

Team Polizei Master Pilot Michael Ross led Polizia Maritimo Veloce(!) to a watery but stylish finish on last week’s Blade Run, and rumor has it some very interesting pictures will be coming our way in the next 24 hours.
Prepare yourself.

Team Polizei’s Michael Ross recently rode 30 miles as an ambassador for Against Breast Cancer, a UK-based charity that funds breast cancer research. Although it wasn’t a race, it’s believed that Michael completed the ride through Oxforshire’s countryside in record time, without breaking a sweat, while raising over 1,500 Pounds for Against Breast Cancer. If you’d like to add to the funds he raised, click on here: www.justgiving.com/mrmichaelross.

2008 A1 GP World Champion Neel Jani – the oft-praised-for-his-modesty driver from Switzerland – must be moving up in the world – somehow he convinced Team Polizei Master Pilot Michael Ross to gift him his well-traveled Polizei 144 summer cap. Congratulations, Neel…on the Championship, I mean.
Ross is clearly having too much fun at Brands Hatch this weekend, whilst I stay home and work on the upcoming release of Cory Welles’ 32 Hours Minutes…now only a few months away.

The New York International Auto Show brings together automotive enthusiasts of every stripe and level of interest. Hardy souls journeyed from as far afield as Austria, Sweden and Virginia to check out Polizei Interceptor 144B and chat about our jovial, demented brand of law enforcement. Sadly, inevitably, some folks were either ill-informed about the goings-on in the automotive world or — at the extreme end of things — complete and utter dunderheaded Ostrogoths when it came to cars, the law and life and how to live it. Of Visigoth persuasion ourselves — especially Mme. Lau — we enjoyed a few hearty chuckles at their expense. Come along, won’t you, and peruse our list of sublime, stupid, and outright head-scratch-frenzy-inducing quotes from the show after the jump.

The UK’s Finest News Source* – also known as the Daily Sport – published the third of seven excerpts from "The Driver" today, and the headline must be the best quote of all time.
Day 1 of the serialization. Day 2.

The UK’s Finest News Source* – also known as the Daily Sport – published the second of seven excerpts from "The Driver" today, and somehow their photographer managed to make Michael Ross and I look exactly as pale and menacing as our enemies say we do in our day-to-day lives. Maybe it’s the black & white…either way, score two (!) for tabloid journalism!
Day 2: Part 1 & Part 2.

To kick off Alex’s "The Driver" European Book Tour, Team Polizei’s UK-based Master Pilot Michael Ross procured yet another addition to the Polizei fleet – a black 2000MY E39 BMW M5, 144R. This one sports a roll cage, a noticeably lower suspension and numerous as yet-unrevealed invisible modifications. Aside from accompanying Roy und Ross on future European events, 144R is also being prepped for a dash/run/lap that will be revealed soon. Very soon. Stay tuned.
