Team Polizei vs. Child Slavery: New Mission, New Ally, New Livery, New Driver, New Goal. New Purpose.

Charity isn’t a choice. If one can, one must, and anyone who races, can. Team Polizei has long supported charitable causes transcending borders & politics, and the popularity of our recent professional motorsports debut in Grand-Am made it clear we could do more…

Which is Team Polizei’s next race at Watkins Glen Friday, August 7th is going to be different.

Why? Because our old friend Bruce Ledoux – a pioneer in charitable fundraising in the motorsports community - just so happens to be the prior owner of the #63 TRG Porsche Cup Car that was to become Polizei 144P

…and since racing truly is a small world, it turns out Bruce’s Guardian Angel MotorSports has a long history of support children’s charities. Team Polizei’s next step was clear.

Team Polizei and Guardian Angel Motorsports have now joined forces to support Love146 – a US-based organization widely respected for its ongoing efforts to fight illegal child trafficking.

Donate. We are. Help us help Love146

Bruce Ledoux, Alex Roy and Polizei Chief of Staff Liz Moses are each personally donating to the cause, and are asking their respective teams’ friends and fans to do the same. The Guardian Angel/Polizei 144 alliance’s first momentous event is coming August 7th at the Rolex Grand-Am race at Watkins Glen, NY, where Team Polizei will reveal yet another surprise…

Yes. If you haven’t guessed already, Polizei 144P is being re-liveried. 144P will be rechristened Polizei 146, for obvious reasons. Pics? You’ll have to wait. We’ve got a lot of announcements still to come, including a VERY tough challenge from yours truly to all fans of the team, a new Polizei Racing driver for next week’s race, and much more.

HINT: Lap of dimes. Maybe.

VIDEO: Garage 419 Invitational – The High-Budget Remake Blockbuster, Part 2

Part 2 of the official Garage 419 Invitational video went up this weekend, featuring lots of Farah gleefully spilling water on the track, which I think should be mandatory for all go-karting events. In the absence of any Finnish WRC veterans, it was no surprise to me that new Polizei recruits Skolnick & Vagios – karting experts of the highest order – took the day. Here’s the original story, Team Polizei’s video and the official video Part 1. If their fancy embedded flash player doesn’t work for you, check out Parts 1 or 2 in YouTube’s High Quality mode, because the Garage guys really did a great job making sure these look good even once having passed through YT’s (usually) crappy codec.

Thanks again to Team Polizei’s co-drivers Montana, Johnson & Russo, and to sponsors Piloti and Gudfud.

If you haven’t already donated to the Children’s Tumor Foundation – which was the point of all this, of course – here’s the link to donate online.

Matt Farah's Aston Martin Vanquish Gets Towed After He Breaks It Doing Donuts...

Expanding and extrapolating upon our low-budget Polizeisploitation flick, the minds at Garage 419 offer up their own expanded multicamera version of events, including characters like Farnbacher Loles‘ Roger Garbow, Jalopnik‘s Ray Wert and Derek D. of Fast Lane Daily. Of course, by singling them out, we’re failing to mention a whole host of other people who lost. In all seriousness, it’s the most well-produced thing the 419 crew has put together so far. Roy makes reference to medieval warfare and lovemaking. Johnson regrettably reprises his “Iron Fist of Victory” schtick. Not shown, however, is the Aston Vanquish with the kaput power steering — a result of host Matt Farah’s early-morning donut antics. We did, however, get a picture of it being loaded onto the flatbed. Remember, schadenfreude wasn’t invented by Team Polizei.

Garage 419 Karting Invitational, The Motion Picture

A gripping Teutonic cop drama the likes of which you’ve never seen, involving Alex Roy, fundraising kingpin Bill “Wilhelm Deutschmark” Montana, Davey G. Johnson, Vinny Russo and the winning duo of Vagios & Skolnick. (ALEX WRITES: That’s nascent karting champion Zack Skolnick to you.) Strategy is employed. German accents are deployed. And victory’s mailed fist comes down upon the hordes, leaving a Polizei-shaped bruise in bold bas relief.

Wilkommen Auf Neue Team Polizei KartPiloten Bill Montana Fur Die Garage 419 Invitational!

Neue Polizei KartPiloten Bill Montana Im LuftPolizei Praktice  Neue Polizei KartPiloten Bill Montana Im LuftPolizei Praktice

Team Polizei is proud to announce a new addition to our vaunted list of Piloten: Bill Montana. Master of knowledge real-estaten, Garage 419 fan and – like J.F. Musial – a Polizei fan who jumped the fence to join the radical fringe of Germany’s finest, Herr Montana adds critical skills at a critical time:

Team Polizei’s entry in the Garage419 Invitational in support of the Children’s Tumor Foundation. More importantly, Herr Montana will join me as co-driver of Polizei 1, the fourth among our entry, Polizei 2 comprised of the vaunted David Johnson and the much feared Vinny Russo.

Read Montana’s personal introduction – entitled “I like to drive s**t fast” – after the jump…

Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! Team Polizei Rocking Your Face at the Garage 419 Invitational, Sunday October 26th @ Gran Prix New York!

While thunder, lighting and rain strafe New York in a manner that’d put the grand mal in Lewis Hamiltion’s seizures, Team Polizei isn’t worried. Why? Because we’re racing indoors. Thanks to the good graces of Team Polizei co-conspiritor/master logician J.F. Musial, we’ve been invited to participate in the Garage 419 Invitational at Grand Prix New York, a charity kart enduro benefitting research into neurofibromatosis treatment. Alex is racing with Garage 419 fan and real estate professional Bill Montana as Polizei Team 1, while Davey and Spyker North America Dealer Relations manager Vinny Russo (above, in yellow) comprise Polizei Team 2. We’ll be filming video, selling schwag (with proceeds benefitting charity) and generally carrying on when we’re not behind the wheel of the karts, so come on up and say hi. We’ve also got special prizes for our highest donor, as well as for the biggest donor overall. Click here to donate and use the pulldown menu to choose Bill and Alex, no matter which one of the four of us you’re actually rooting for. The most important thing, of course, is that the money gets to those who need it.

Team Polizei to Bring Order to Greenwich Concours d'Elegance – Saturday, June 7th!

Called forth to the Nutmeg State by an error of prescience and/or gross misjudgment, Team Polizei will be out in force at tomorrow’s Greenwich Concours d’Elegance. In conjunction with Alex’s selection as the marquee speaker at Saturday’s dinner, we’ll be displaying Polizei Interceptor 144B and the super-secret BMW-engineered Gepäck 144 (courtesy of Manhattan MotorCars) Come wish us a hearty "Guten Tag!" (And by all means, bring Löwensenf!) Plenty of rare and vintage iron from all eras of motoring will be showcased at the event, which promises to be a cracking good time. As proceeds benefit Americares, we encourage you to visit early and often.

Polizei's Master Piloten Michael Ross Rides Against Breast Cancer

Team Polizei’s Michael Ross recently rode 30 miles as an ambassador for Against Breast Cancer, a UK-based charity that funds breast cancer research. Although it wasn’t a race, it’s believed that Michael completed the ride through Oxforshire’s countryside in record time, without breaking a sweat, while raising over 1,500 Pounds for Against Breast Cancer. If you’d like to add to the funds he raised, click on here: www.justgiving.com/mrmichaelross.

Polizei 144B vs Car Thieves! Pyrrhic Victory Ensues.

Polizei M5 144B was attacked by New York’s infamously skilled car thieves last night whilst briefly parked on the street. Yes. I’m an idiot, but I’ve parked 144A and B – fully stickered – on numerous streets in dozens of countries throughout the world, and never had a problem.

144B won, of course, surviving with only a broken passenger window, a well-abused yet-still-functional ignition cylinder, and the loss of but two of its four Garmin GPS units.

Given the surreal deterrent effect our Polizei livery has had on both law enforcement and civilians in the past, I’ve been grappling with the psychology of these particular thieves. The questions:

On Saturday, April 5th, ClubBimmer.com will attempt to break the record for the most BMW’s in one parade by traveling from the Chateau Elan Winery in Braselton, GA to Road Atlanta Raceway seven miles down the road.
