And The Best Speeding Ticket Avoidance Excuse Of The Year (To Date) Is…

“We’re raising money to combat leprosy.”

Here’s to you, Rob Feretti, for keeping a straight face while telling a Colorado police officer that the 2010 Bullrun was raising money to eradicate leprosy.

I don’t know if I could have done it.

ROAD TESTAMENT: Bottom 5 Cars of 2010 Q1/Q2

It’s the most disliked Road Testament evahhhhhh, with JF and I reviewing our bottom 5 cars of the first half of 2010. It’s a 2-1 ratio Dislike-to-Like.

But, as The Dude said in The Big Lebowski, if you don’t like it…well…that’s just, like, your opinion…man.

Team Wu vs. Impersonation Laws On 2010 Bullrun Rally?!

Bill Wu is my kinda guy: creative, aggressive and a little nuts…but whoa, he’s really done it this time. Wu – veteran of the real Bullrun and winner of the 2010 Bullrun Reality TV show – is running what has to be the most comprehensively well-equipped rally car of all time in the 2010 Bullrun, which starts in my hometown Saturday morning at 0900hr.

And it looks just like a real Police car. An American Police car. In America.

Let’s be clear about what this means.

ROAD TESTAMENT: Top 5 Cars of 2010 Q1/Q2

It’s another controversial Road Testament, and JF & I argue – as usual – about the Top 5 Cars of the first half of 2010. As usual, the comments suggest I’m stoned, drunk and/or interrupt too much. Nope, it’s just me.

FYI, fans of Hawk & Animal will love this one.

ROAD TESTAMENT: Cars In Movies, and…

Ronin. The Wraith. The A-Team. Any Bond movie made before the 90′s.
What do they all have in common?
If you have to ask, then…you shouldn’t watch this Road Testament.
Or maybe you should.

ROAD TESTAMENT: Canadian F1 Road Trip. (Graphic)

Graphic, controversial and not quite what anyone was expecting, here’s a little video of our road trip to Montreal for F1 last week. Jason Thorgalsen and Josh Vietze join JF and I for this episode of The Road Testament.

ROAD TESTAMENT: Judging The 2010 Greenwich Concours D'Elegance.

The Road Testament goes to Greenwich, CT for the 2010 Concours D’Elegance, which means I dress up, JF dresses…like JF, we meet the supercool Michael Lindgren, and best guesses are made where knowledge is sought.

Alex Roy Judging @ Greenwich Concours D'Elegance 2010? Yup.

Surreal, but true.  I’ve been invited to be a judge at the 2010 Greenwich Concours D’Elegance today and tomorrow in Connecticut’s gorgeous Roger Sherman Baldwin Park.  Who would possible think this is a good idea?  Thank Concours Chamberlain Michael Lindgren and Organizers Bruce & Genia Wennerstrom, the very same kind souls who invited me to join the venerable Madison Avenue Sports Car Club & Chowder Society two years ago.

My invitation is especially surreal, given Polizei 144B’s appearance at the 2008 Concours, and the Team’s performance that hot summer day.

Look for the bald guy in the white linen suit and straw hat. Or JF, Josh Vietze or my old co-pilot Michele Shapiro.

And if you know anything about vintage cars, come walk with us and share your opinion, because I don’t. Not really. Maybe. I think.

ROAD TESTAMENT: Should Alfa Romeo Come To The US Instead of Fiat?

If Fiat is coming to the US, why isn’t Alfa?

The Road Testament returns as JF Musial & Alex Roy debate which Italian marque should really be coming here in 2012. We also offer a shout out to The Human Centipede, a film about which one should ask not…

VIDEO: The Battle of Rome. Part 2.

The Battle of Rome continues. Last week we released Part 1. Here’s Part 2.
You may read the full story in the most infamous chapter of “The Driver“…
…for neither video tells the full story.

I retired from such events years ago, with good reason.

See you at Lemons. Or Grand Am. Or Targa. Or Dakar.
Or…somewhere up North.
Far up north.
Or east…
