That Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is an historic place isn’t lost on most motor racing aficionados. The history of the track hangs in the air, both uplifting and shot through with gravitas. Along with Indianapolis, Bonneville, Monaco, Daytona and Le Mans, it stands as one of the truest extant meccas of speed in the world. That we’re here debuting 144P and Team Polizei’s professional racing program seems appropriate. But before the Porsche turns a tire in anger on Sunday, there’s much to be done.
While the crew at TRG takes care of the car over in the paddock, we’re busy piecing together the end of the operation that’s just for you — the fans. A vertible arsenal of hardware has to be unboxed and assembled. Freshly-shipped shirts need to be folded. Jacket patches need to be organized. Last-minute workflow tweaks and workarounds need to be taken care of. But as in bullfighting, lovemaking and galactic exploration, preparation yields dividends and our end goal is to deliver an immersive experience to you during the course of the weekend whether you’re here at the track or following the action from afar.
